Returning to Worship Services

Returning to Worship Services

We are excited to be able to meet together tomorrow 5/31/20 at 10:00AM CDT for worship together. Here is the information you need if you will be attending with us in the morning:

Here are some things you should know about our planned return to services on May 31. All of this is being done so that we may return safely.

  1. We are encouraging those in high-risk groups to continue to stay home and watch the live-stream. This is for your safety and in accordance with CDC recommendations. Those groups include:

    • Those 70 years old or older.
    • Those with heart disease.
    • Those on steroid therapy.
    • Those with diabetes.
    • Those suffering from obesity (defined as a BMI over 40).
    • Those with kidney disease.
    • Those with lung disease.
  2. In addition, if you have a temperature above 99.6, or if you are experiencing any of the symptoms of Covid-19, please stay home.
  3. The west doors will remain locked, and you will only be able to enter through the north and south doors.
  4. There will only be one service, at 10:00 AM. There will not be any Bible classes until further notice. We will also continue the online Bible class on Wednesday night.
  5. We have taped off a number of pews, and also taped off sections of the pews that are open. This is to accommodate the social distancing as recommended by the CDC. Please do not remove tape to sit in your regular spot. We have added some chairs in the back and into the foyer to facilitate social distancing.
  6. The Water Fountains have also been taped off and turned off to take them out of service.
  7. When you enter the auditorium, a gloved/masked usher will hand you an individual, pre-packaged set of Lord’s Supper elements. Please hold out your hands to enable them to “drop them” into your hands to avoid unnecessary touching.
  8. We are strongly encouraging the wearing of masks, particularly during singing. Since that will make singing difficult, we will reduce the number of songs in the service.
  9. At the end of the service, one of the elders will go to Lord’s Table, do the Table Talk, lead prayers, and we will all take the Supper together.
  10. After the Lord’s Supper, the elder at the front will make announcements, then after the closing prayer, he will dismiss you one row at a time. As you leave the auditorium, there will be waste baskets to dispose of the used Lord’s Supper containers. There will also be receptacles for placing your contribution. You can, of course, continue to give using the Zelle app.
  11. When you are dismissed, we are asking that you exit the building and return to your cars.
  12. Please keep your children with you at all times.
  13. Please avoid handshaking, hugging and other forms of physical touch during your time in the building.
  14. Finally, we ask that you continue to be in prayer that sooner than later, we will be able to lift most of these restrictions and return to normal in our worship together.

We have missed all of you, and we look forward to worshiping together on May 31.
