The Preacher's Pen
by Mark RobertsEvery now and then the evolutionists slip up and tell us the truth. It doesn't happen often, but we sure want to make note of it when they do. That's why I was pleased to read the following quote in that most fervent advocate of evolution, National Geographic. In the January 2000 issue Paul Davies, physicist and writer said, ""How can a collection of chemicals form themselves into a living thing without any interference from outside? On the face of it, life is an exceedingly unlikely event. There is no known principle of matter that says it has to organize itself into life . . . we have not yet discovered the Life Principle.""
How about that? Isn't it good to see evolutionists finally asking the questions creationists have been posing for years? Just how does a bunch of chemicals floating around in the water manage to ""form themselves into a living thing?"" That would be a trick to see! Such has never been duplicated in the laboratory, nor ever observed in nature. So how did it happen? Mr. Davies better be careful asking such questions. If he keeps it up he might mistakenly ask where those chemicals came from in the first place and then evolution's bankruptcy will really become apparent.
I particularly like the last part of the Davies quote: ""we have not yet discovered the Life Principle."" This is, of course, in direct contradiction to science textbooks that routinely assure young readers ""all reputable scientists accept evolution as a fact"" and ""evolution is not a theory but a scientific fact."" It sort of looks like they don't have all their facts yet, doesn't it? That Davies quote gets around some and people might have to go back to calling it the theory of evolution!
I'm sure someone at National Geographic got canned for letting such an outrageously truthful quote about evolution appear in their magazine. Evolutionists just hate it when the truth gets told like that! However, I was pleased to see that the truth didn't faze them. Right after Davies quote the article goes on to quote another fellow who is sure evolution has happened all over the universe. That after Davies had just said ""life is an exceedingly unlikely event."" Of course, evolutionists have never allowed hard facts to interfere with their theory.
While all these scientists muddle around in their theoretical world I believe I have discovered the Life Principle: ""In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"" (Gen. 1:1). Let us work and pray to teach this truth everywhere and destroy the error of evolution.
